Thank you for choosing the Phase 9 Silencer or one of the Porsche silencers. Many hours of design and testing have gone into developing these performance products. Here are some general suggestions for installation and mounting.
- Install approximately 17 inches of tubing between the end of the primary header pipes (crotch of collector) and the inlet of the Phase 9.
- Do not add any length to the end of the Phase 9 silencer outlet. If you feel you need an extension or deflector use larger diameter tubing.
- To allow for expansion and flexing of exhaust system leave a "loose" slip connection at the silencer inlet.
Adequately support the rear (outlet) end of the silencer with a bracket that will not crush the tubing.
